The Analytics view on a drop's Marketing page shows how the campaign is actually performing: who's visiting, from where, and what they buy. Here's what each part means and where the numbers come from.
Sessions (visits)
A session is one person's visit to your drop's pages. Sessions are counted by our own analytics on the sale and early-access pages — no cookies, so no consent banner is needed, and numbers update within a few minutes of the traffic happening.
Channels — where visitors came from
Every session lands in a channel:
- Tagged traffic — visitors who arrived through one of your tracked links. These attribute precisely: platform, placement, and the exact plan step.
- Referrer-classified traffic — visitors who arrived without your tags but whose origin is still identifiable: Instagram, Facebook and TikTok in-app browsers announce themselves, search engines do too. These fold into the matching channel row (marked as referral/organic traffic) so an untagged Instagram click still counts as Instagram.
- Direct — visitors whose origin genuinely can't be determined: typed URLs, some messaging apps, some privacy settings. An honest remainder, not a failure.
If you never used a tracked link at all, your traffic still appears — mostly under referrer-classified channels and direct. What you lose without tags is per-post attribution, not visibility.
Orders and revenue
Orders are attributed strictly: an order counts toward a channel only when the buyer arrived through your campaign's tracked link. Orders whose tags don't match (someone else's link tags, link-service tags) or that carry no tags go into an untracked pool, which is then split across your channels each day in proportion to the attributed traffic — a fair estimate, clearly separated from precise attribution. Whatever can't be fairly apportioned stays visible as Untracked.
Revenue is the product takings of attributed orders (not shipping).
Conversion % and benchmarks
Conversion is orders ÷ sessions for a channel. Beside it you'll see a typical benchmark figure for that channel type — a rough industry reference so you can tell "2% from email" is normal while "2% from Instagram" is excellent. Benchmarks are references, not targets.
Conversion funnels
Three funnels read left to right, each stage a circle coloured by how it performs against its benchmark — green above, blue on target, red below — with the step-to-step conversion rate shown between stages:
- Overall conversion funnel — Store traffic → Orders → Repeat orders: are people arriving, buying, and coming back.
- Social funnel — Social reach → Store visits → Orders: how far your posts travel and what that reach turns into.
- Email funnel — Emails sent → Opens → Clicks → Orders: your list's whole journey in one line.
A grey circle with a dash means that stage isn't measurable yet (for example, reach before you've connected Instagram, or repeat orders before enough order history exists) — never a zero we invented. Repeat orders count buyers who had ordered from your store before.
Per-post clicks and auto-done
Each plan step's tracked link accumulates its own click count. Two things ride on this:
- Steps whose link passes a click threshold are marked done automatically — the post evidently went out.
- A step detected as posted whose link earned zero clicks a day later gets a Wrong link used chip — the usual cause is posting with a plain URL instead of the tracked link.
Signups
The signups figure counts email signups submitted on your drop pages (the holding page's signup form). It's how you watch the pre-launch list grow day by day.
Your best performing social content
With Instagram connected, this section shows your actual posts from the drop window as a grid — the post image, its channel and date, and a Reach | Orders toggle to rank them by how far each travelled or how many orders each drove (feed posts own the link-in-bio traffic from their publish day until the next post). Without a connection it falls back to a table of your tracked links' performance.
Measured account insights
Connecting Instagram/Facebook or your email platform under Settings → Connections is what fills the measured stages: social reach in the social funnel, sends/opens/clicks in the email funnel, and the post grid above. See About marketing connections.
Timing and history
- Numbers are near-live: expect them within roughly 5–10 minutes of the traffic.
- History self-heals: each day's figures are re-checked on a rolling window, so a late-counted visit never leaves a permanent hole.
- The daily progress email (subscribe next to Edit plan) opens on the same funnel and shows today's plan card — clicking it opens that step directly, no login needed.
Reading it honestly
Three practical rules: judge channels by orders and revenue, not sessions (traffic that doesn't buy is applause, not income); expect direct to be sizeable (that's normal everywhere); and treat day one and the final day as your peaks — the plan's structure exists precisely because the middle sags without prompts.
