The drop name is the first thing the wizard asks for. The card frames it plainly: "This name will help you identify this sale in your Drops list. You can change it later." It's mainly an internal label, but it also becomes the default title of your sale page.
Where to set it
Step 1 of the drop creation wizard ("Give this drop a name"). Type a name and select Continue. You can change it any time afterwards — see below.
A good drop name
- Specific to the work — "Atlas Series 01", "Coastal Light" — better than "Spring Drop 2026" or "New Release".
- Memorable — collectors who buy from you again should recognise the name months later.
- 3–6 words — long enough to mean something, short enough to fit on cards.
- Match your brand voice — if your work is moody and analogue, the name should be too.
Where it appears
- Drops list — each card shows the name, a status badge (Published / Draft / Publishing… / Publish failed) and the launch → end dates (shown in UTC), above a 1–3 image mosaic of the artwork.
- Sale page title — defaults to the drop name. You can change it separately when editing the page.
The Shopify products themselves are named after each artwork, not the drop — the drop name only feeds into the product page URL (handle).
How to rename
On the Drops list, click Edit on the drop's card to open the edit hub. Under Store design and content, open the Drop name card, change the name, and Publish changes.
You can also open the full wizard and change the name on step 1.
Renaming after publishing updates the sale page title on the next publish. Rename carefully mid-sale — a public-facing change can confuse repeat customers who shared a link under the old name.
