The quickest way to change which artworks are in a drop is the Manage products modal on the drop's card. You can also pick products when you first create a drop, but once it exists you don't need to re-run the wizard to add or remove one.
Manage products (the main path)
- Open the drop list — Drop List in the sidebar (the page is headed Drops).
- On the drop's card, click Manage products.
- The modal lists everything currently in the drop, with an Add from your products search below it.
Changes here save immediately to the drop. They don't go live on your store until you re-publish (see below).
Remove an artwork
In the In this drop list, click the X on the product's row. It's removed straight away — there's no separate confirm step. This soft-deletes the product from the drop only; the product itself stays in your catalogue.
Add an artwork
Under Add from your products, search your catalogue and click Add on the product you want. It moves into the In this drop list immediately. Only products that aren't already in the drop appear here.
When you're done, click Done to close the modal.
The modal adds and removes from your existing product catalogue. To bring in a brand-new artwork you haven't set up yet, create it first — see How to upload artwork.
Make the change go live
Manage products updates the drop in our system, not your Shopify store. To push the change to your storefront, re-publish the drop:
- On the drop's card, click Edit to open it.
- At the editing hub, click Publish changes.
The page is rebuilt from the products currently in the drop, so a removed artwork no longer appears on the sale page and an added one does. (If you're pushing a single product on its own, the button reads Push to store, or Push edits to store for a product that's already published.)
For more on re-publishing, see How to publish a drop and How to edit a published drop.
Removing from a live drop
If the drop is mid-sale and customers are buying, think before you remove. Once you re-publish, the removed artwork drops off the sale page, so any link or saved cart pointing straight at it will no longer find it on the page. If you can, wait until the sale ends. If you must remove mid-sale, tell subscribers so they aren't left clicking a dead link.
Adding mid-sale is lower risk — the new product simply appears once you re-publish. Bear in mind that constantly topping up a live drop can dilute the launch moment; many artists hold additions back for the next drop.
