How to add custom and A-series print sizes

aspect ratioborderprint size

On the sizes step of the wizard you can add print sizes beyond the recommended set — either typed in freely or picked from the ISO A-series (A5 to A0).

Add any size

Click Add size and type the width and height. Any shape is allowed. Production limits: the shorter side can be up to 101.6 cm and the longer side up to 304.8 cm — so even very long panoramic prints fit.

Add an A size

Add A size offers one-click A-series presets (A5–A0), oriented to match your artwork.

If your artwork's shape is close to the A-series ratio (1:1.41), the presets are offered as-is. If your artwork is a somewhat different shape — say 1:1.6 or up to about 1:1.75 — the presets still appear but are marked Not recommended: you can add them, and you'll choose how to handle the shape difference (see below). For shapes far from the A-series (square artwork, for example), A presets aren't offered — type a custom size instead.

When the size doesn't match your artwork's shape

Adding a size whose shape differs from your artwork brings up a fit choice before you continue:

  • Crop — the artwork fills the sheet and the overflowing edges are trimmed.
  • Borders — the whole artwork is kept and the leftover space becomes white border.

You see the effect before confirming, so nothing is cropped without you choosing it.
