Do you need crop marks?
No — please don't add crop marks, trim marks, registration marks, or a printed border into your file.
Your print is produced from the image area you supply, and the size and any border are set in the ordering tools — not drawn into the artwork. Marks baked into the file would simply be printed as part of the image, which isn't what you want.
What to do instead
- Supply a clean, full-bleed image with no added marks or instructional text.
- Crop to your final aspect ratio and size in Photoshop or Lightroom before uploading.
- Set the file to 300 PPI, 8-bit, Adobe RGB (1998) (or your soft-proofed paper profile), with the profile embedded.
- Save as a high-quality JPEG (quality 12) or flattened TIFF.
- If you want a white border around the image, use the built-in border tool in the order flow rather than drawing one in.
When to order a test print
If you're unsure how your chosen crop and size will sit on the paper, a small test print confirms the framing and proportions before you order at full size.
