About the Signature Library

artist branding

Your signature library is the collection of saved signature images you can reuse across drops. Manage it from the Media Library (left sidebar → Media Library).

What's stored

Every signature image you've uploaded — whether you added it directly from the Media Library or during the drop wizard. It's the same library either way.

What you can do

From the Media Library you can:

  • Upload — add a new signature (PNG, JPEG or SVG; max 10 MB). A PNG with a transparent background works best.
  • Set default — star a signature to make it the default for new drops. The default is stored as a foreign key on your profile (default_signature_image_id), so only one is the default at a time.
  • Delete — remove a signature you no longer use. If you delete the current default, the default clears.

The first signature you upload is set as the default automatically.

When to keep multiple

  • Different signature styles for different work — formal for limited editions, casual for open editions.
  • Multi-artist accounts — each artist keeps their own signature in the library; pick the matching one per drop.
  • Iterating on a new design without losing the old one.

How drops use it

In the wizard, the signature step reads from the same library. You can pick an existing signature from your library or upload a new one, which is added to the library and applied to the drop. The default is just a starting point — you can choose a different signature for any individual drop.

Where signatures appear

A signature you've selected for a drop is used:

  • On the Certificate of Authenticity for that drop, and on the product page.
  • Printed onto the artwork if you turn on Apply my signature to each print in the finishing step (titled "Signatures and numbering", or "Signatures, numbering and mount boards" when the drop has framed variants).

See How signatures and edition numbers print onto artwork for the printing detail.
