Shipping is charged per order for print-only orders, and per frame unit for framed orders. Print-only rates are flat regardless of print size.
Print-only flat rates
Charged per order, regardless of print size, with currency matched to your billing country.
GBP accounts
- UK / Germany: £6.45.
- EU: £12.50.
- US: £24.50.
- Australia / New Zealand / Rest of World: £65.79.
EUR accounts
- UK / Germany: €6.95.
- EU: €14.63.
- US: €28.67.
- Australia / New Zealand / Rest of World: €76.97.
Framed orders
Framed orders ship per frame unit at variable rates depending on frame size and destination — roughly £7.00–£180.00 GBP (€14.63–€210.60 EUR) per frame.
DDP: import duty, GST and handling fee
The flat rates above are the shipping cost only. For destinations where you've enabled DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), additional import charges are added to the order on top of the shipping rate so the customer doesn't get a separate customs bill on delivery.
When DDP is enabled for a destination country, each order also carries:
- Import duty — calculated live per order.
- GST / sales tax — calculated live per order.
- Courier handling fee — a flat fee per order, charged in your account currency:
- GBP: £6.24.
- EUR: €7.11.
- USD: $7.49.
Duty and GST are computed at order time from the production value and shipping charge, so they vary by destination, product value and tax rate. The handling fee is fixed per order at the rates above.
DDP charges only apply where you've turned DDP on for that country. If DDP is off, the order ships duty-unpaid (DAP) and the customer may be billed import charges by the carrier on delivery.
If you've seen a per-order handling figure around 16 / 18 / 22, that is not the handling fee. The correct courier handling fee is 6.24 / 7.11 / 7.49 in GBP / EUR / USD.
Setting customer-facing rates
You can charge your customers whatever shipping rate you wish on your storefront. The figures above are theprintspace's wholesale rate to you. Common patterns:
- Pass-through (charge customer the same).
- Marked-up (cover support overhead).
- Free shipping baked into the print price.
Match the strategy to your audience and price point. If you enable DDP, remember that duty, GST and the handling fee are added to your cost per order on top of the flat shipping rate.
