How to set your billing country (drives invoice currency)

Your Billing country sets the currency theprintspace invoices you in for production costs, and it feeds the tax rules applied to those invoices. In-app it's described as: "Used to determine the currency on your invoices and tax rules."

How to set it

  1. Open Settings → Financial.
  2. Find the Billing country card.
  3. Pick your country from the dropdown.
  4. Check the Invoice currency row underneath — it updates to show the currency you'll be invoiced in for the chosen country.
  5. Click Save billing country.

How the currency is resolved

You don't choose the currency directly. Once you pick a country, the Invoice currency row shows the resolved currency (e.g. GBP, EUR, USD), or if nothing is selected yet.

The mapping from country to currency is decided on the server, not in the app, so the only reliable way to see what your country resolves to is to select it and read the Invoice currency row.

What this affects

  • The currency theprintspace invoices you in for fulfilment costs (print, frame, COA, letter, packaging, shipping).
  • The tax rules applied to those invoices.

What this does NOT affect

  • The currency you charge customers — that's set in your store admin (e.g. Shopify).
  • Where payouts settle — that's your Residency country, a separate setting.

Different from residency?

Yes. Billing country drives the invoices from theprintspace (currency and tax rules). Residency country is a separate field for payouts to you. For most artists they're the same country, but they can differ — for example if you trade through a company registered somewhere other than where you live.
