How to set your country of residence (drives payouts)

stripe

The Country of residence card in Settings → Account determines which theprintspace payout entity settles your sales. theprintspace operates three entities, mapped by region.

How it routes

  • UK residents → UK (theprintspace Limited) — the default.
  • DE / EU residents → Germany (theprintspace GmbH).
  • US residents → USA (theprintspace USA Inc.).

The Payout entity: row under the country picker shows the resolved entity for your selection, so you can confirm where payouts will settle before saving.

How to set it

  1. Open Settings → Account.
  2. Find the Country of residence card.
  3. Pick your country from the dropdown.
  4. Check the Payout entity: row.
  5. Click Save residency country.

What this affects

  • Payouts — your sales revenue settles to the matching payout entity.
  • Saved card — your card on file (in Settings → Financial → Card on file) is set up against the residency-routed account. Changing residency can invalidate the saved card; re-add it if so.

What this does NOT affect

  • Timezone — your drop start/end dates use the separate Timezone Settings card (also in Settings → Account). Residency does not set it.
  • Currency / VAT — those are driven by Billing country and Merchant VAT number (in Settings → Financial), not residency.
  • Where you can sell — drops are global regardless of residency.

Important

Don't change residency mid-month or mid-drop unless you have to. The card on file is scoped to the residency-routed account, so saved cards and partial payments may break when you switch.
