Delivery method depends on order type, size, and destination. theprintspace ships from the UK, Germany, and US facilities.
Flat prints
- Up to 20″ × 16″ (UK) or 12″ × 17″ (Germany / ROW) — sent flat in an envelope.
- Larger flat prints — sent rolled in a tube.
Mounted and framed pieces
- Up to 40″ × 30″ — postage or courier (depending on order details).
- Larger than 40″ × 30″ — collect only, or call to arrange custom shipping.
Postage vs courier
By default, smaller lower-value items go via postal services and larger or higher-value items go via tracked courier. The system selects the method automatically based on size and value at checkout — unless you override it for a region (see below).
Overriding delivery per region
You can override the default behaviour per delivery region in Settings -> Fulfilment. The same regions apply: UK, Germany, EU, EEA, United States, Canada, AUS / NZ, and Rest of World.
Upgrade to Courier
Turn Upgrade to Courier on for a region to force every order to that region onto Express Courier, regardless of size or value. This replaces the cheap-tracked default with the tracked courier carrier and uses the courier delivery rate instead of the standard dropship rate, so it costs more — but it's tracked and more resilient against tariffs, customs, and import issues. It's also a prerequisite for offering Delivery Duty Paid.
Exclude regions from Fulfilment
Turn Exclude regions from Fulfilment on for a region to stop theprintspace fulfilling orders to it. Orders that come in for an excluded region are still created, but with a status of suspended rather than going into production. Leave the switch off and we fulfil there as normal.

What this means for your drops
Most A3 / A2 prints in your standard drop sizes ship flat or rolled — no special handling needed. Bespoke-framed pieces over 40″ × 30″ require customer collection or a manual arrangement, so think carefully before listing very large framed editions through dropship.
