If you've uploaded an image before, you don't need to upload it again. The first wizard step — Select artworks for this drop (it reads Select your files when you're creating a product on its own) — lets you pick it straight from your media library.
Where to find it
On that step, you first choose Create new or From existing products.
Under Create new there are two sub-modes:
- Upload new image — the drag-and-drop uploader for fresh files.
- From media library — every image you've already uploaded, ready to reuse.
Click From media library to switch to the library grid.
Reusing an image
- Click From media library.
- Browse the grid of your previously uploaded images.
- Use the Search your library... box to filter by image name.
- Click an image to add it to this drop.
The image is added without re-uploading the file. Images you've already added to this drop show with a tick and can't be selected again.
If the library is empty, you'll see a prompt to upload something first.
Library vs existing products
These are two different things:
- From media library reuses just the source image. You then set up the product fresh (paper, framing, pricing, edition).
- From existing products reuses a whole product you've already published to Shopify, including its variants — see How to import products from Shopify.
On the standalone Create Products journey
The From existing products tab doesn't appear when you're creating a product on its own (that journey is for making new products). The From media library sub-mode is still available under Create new, so you can reuse a source image there too.
