The Branding Editor is a live-preview editor for fine-tuning a style preset. It opens from the Page Design step of the drop wizard, and is the natural next step after extracting a style from a URL. Unlike the Page Styles form, it shows a live preview of your sale page and per-colour contrast feedback as you make changes.
How to open it
There are two ways, both in the wizard's Page Design step:
- After extraction. When you extract a style from a URL and click Save & Apply, the success screen shows a Customize button. Click it to open the editor with the freshly extracted theme loaded.
- On a saved preset. Switch to Saved styles, select a preset, then click the Edit (pencil) button next to it. This opens the same editor for that preset.
You can reopen the editor at any time by selecting the preset and clicking the pencil again.
What you see
The editor opens as a full-screen panel titled Edit Theme, with the controls on the left and previews on the right.
- Editor (left). Adjust colours, typography and the other branding settings. Colour fields carry an inline contrast indicator so you can spot readability problems as you edit.
- Previews (right). Two stacked, rendered previews — Home page and Product details page — that update as you edit, so you can see the effect of each change immediately.
You can also rename the theme inline — click the name at the top, type a new one, and press Enter.
Saving
Click Save to write your changes back to the same preset. Escher then refreshes the preset list and keeps the preset applied to the current drop's page, so the editor and your drop stay in sync.
- Revert changes undoes your unsaved edits and returns to the last saved version.
- Reset to original (shown when you opened the editor straight after extraction) restores the originally extracted colours.
The Save and Revert buttons are disabled until you've actually changed something.
Unsaved changes
If you close the editor with unsaved edits, Escher asks Unsaved changes and gives you three options: Save, Discard, or Cancel (keep editing). Nothing is written to the preset unless you save.
Where the changes land
Editing a preset updates the one preset, so every drop using it picks up the change on its next publish. Already-published pages don't change until you republish.
