Giving email subscribers a head start on a drop drives higher revenue than launching to everyone at once.
Why early access works
- Better conversion — email subscribers convert higher than cold social traffic.
- Reward loyalty — first access creates exclusivity and drives sign-ups to your list.
- Measure value — track revenue per subscriber to optimise acquisition spend.
How it works
Publishing a drop produces two fixed Shopify links:
- Early-access link — no holding page. It goes live the moment you publish, so people can buy straight away. You choose when to email it to your list.
- Public link — shows the holding page and a countdown, then opens to everyone at your launch date.
To give early access, you simply email the early-access link to your subscribers before launch. Everyone else lands on the public link and waits for the countdown.
There's no early-access window or timer to set, and no unique link per subscriber — it's one shared early-access URL. The Sale Schedule step only sets your launch date and time (and, for a permanent store, whether it launches immediately or counts down). Early access is delivered purely by which of the two links you share.
