When someone shares a product link — on Instagram, WhatsApp, iMessage, Facebook — the preview card shows the product's featured image and title. By default that's the artwork and the product name. You can change both per product.
Change it
- Open the product in Products.
- Find the Social sharing card.
- Pick a share image from the thumbnails — the artwork (marked as the default) or any of the product's generated shots (framed, in-room, table, lifestyle).
- Optionally set a Share title — leave it blank to use the product name.
- Save. The change applies the next time the product is published, so republish the drop (or push the product) to make it live.
Good to know
- The chosen share image becomes the product's featured image on your store, so it also fronts collection grids there.
- Selecting the artwork again returns you to the default behaviour.
- Sharing platforms cache previews aggressively — after republishing, a link you shared before the change can keep its old preview for a while. Facebook's Sharing Debugger and similar tools can force a refresh.
- The share preview belongs to real product links (
/products/…). Your drop page has its own share image — the page hero — set in the drop wizard. - The easiest way to share a product correctly: open it on your live drop page and use its Share button (below Add to cart) — it hands out the product's own link, which carries the right preview. Copying the drop page's address bar with a product open shares the page's preview instead, on every platform — that's how link previews work everywhere.
