Connecting a custom-coded or bespoke website
Yes — you can. Alongside ready-made plugins for Shopify, Etsy, Squarespace, Wix and WooCommerce, creativehub offers a public API that integrates with any app or website, including one that's been custom-coded or built bespoke for you. So if your site doesn't run on one of the supported platforms, the API is your route in.
One important thing to know: the managed store-setup and onboarding service does not cover custom-coded sites built on the API. The plugins are designed to be self-serve, but a bespoke integration needs a developer who can read the API documentation and wire it up — sending orders, syncing products, and matching each sale to the right print via its SKU.
Practical pointers: - If you (or a developer you work with) are comfortable with REST APIs and webhooks, the API gives you full control over how products and orders flow between your site and creativehub. - You'll need third-party web-developer support to build and maintain the integration — budget for that as you would any custom feature. - Keep SKUs intact end to end; that's how a sale is matched to the correct product for fulfilment. - Note that print drops are a Shopify-only feature, so a bespoke site won't support those.
Your call: if a no-code plugin platform meets your needs, that's the faster path. Choose the API when you want a fully bespoke storefront and have development resource to support it.
