What to post before a drop goes live

The weeks before launch are where the sale is actually won. Your job is to build connection and anticipation so that by launch day your audience already cares about the work and is ready to buy. Don't open by selling; open by telling the story.

A content sequence that works:

  1. Start with your why. Share your motivations, your background, your personality and where you create. This makes people invest in you, not just the print.
  2. Show inspiration and research. Mood boards, locations, sketches, the thinking behind the project.
  3. Tease the project. Hint at finished work without fully revealing it, to spark curiosity.
  4. Reveal the project, then the prints. Show the pieces, then how they're printed, their scale on a wall, edition numbers and packaging quality.
  5. Drive early-access sign-ups. Throughout, push people to your email list so you can notify them the moment the drop opens.
  6. Save the date. In the final stretch, use Instagram and TikTok reminder tools and give exact launch dates and times.

Tips: lead every video with a strong hook in the first few seconds, use Stories generously to send people to your link, and always include a clear call to action. Carousels are great for narrative reveals; short video is great for reach and teasing. Keep the deadline and "join my list for early access" message consistent across everything.
