When you start the order journey (select images in the library → Order Prints), the first card — "How would you like to order?" — offers two paths: Use our recommendation or Choose step by step. The recommendation path runs the Our Recommendation card.
Two paths
Use our recommendation
"We'll pick the best paper, size and finish based on your image. Just choose framed or unframed and the size." First you confirm a couple of details on the Quick Setup card (Framed / Unframed and a Small / Medium / Large size), then the Our Recommendation card surfaces three suggested configurations. Best for:
- First-time users.
- Buyers unsure which paper or finish suits their work.
- Anyone who wants curated suggestions.
Choose step by step
"Select your print size, paper type and finish manually with full control over every option." You go through the configuration cards (Paper Type, Print Size, Borders, Framing & Mounting) and pick each yourself. Best for:
- Experienced users with a clear plan.
- Repeat orders where you already know your preferences.
How the Our Recommendation card works
After Quick Setup:
- Quick Setup choices — your Framed / Unframed answer and chosen size drive the suggestions.
- Three options — the card lists three configurations, each with paper, finish and framing.
- Price — each option shows its price.
- Why this — each option carries a short reasoning line (e.g., why that paper suits the image).
Pick one and click Add to Cart.
Override
These are starting points, not constraints — if you'd rather set everything yourself, go back and choose Choose step by step instead.
Behind the scenes
The suggestions use simple heuristics from your Quick Setup answers and the image — not a full AI model.
When to use which
- First few orders → Use our recommendation. Learn the options as you go.
- Once you know your preferences → Choose step by step.
- Per order → the path is chosen each time on the "How would you like to order?" card.
