Careers at creativehub
Artist Manager — Business Development & Social Commerce
You find talented, highly followed artists, show them a change in the art market most of them don't know is happening, and build the commerce that grows their careers — and you're paid on everything they sell.
About us
creativehub & theprintspace have spent 18 years transforming how art is sold, with a blend of art, data and technology. Today we stand alone as a leading platform for online art sales, with production facilities in Shoreditch, Düsseldorf and DUMBO, Brooklyn.
The art industry is going through a once-in-a-generation disruption: social commerce. It is so disruptive that most artists are completely unaware it is even happening. Your job is to show them it is and to help them join it.
The role
You own a roster of artists as their manager and commercial strategist. You bring new artists on board, advise them on digital and social media marketing, and run the strategies that turn their engagement into revenue: drops, pop-up experiences, artist collaborations, online and offline sales events. A dedicated, experienced account-handling team works under your direction, so your time goes on relationships and strategy, not admin.
What you will do
- Bring new artists on board by reaching out and building relationships with artists.
- Identify the right artists using our proprietary in-house system for tracking social engagement.
- Advise your artists on digital and social media marketing strategy to grow their revenue.
- Design and run drops, collaborations, and artist popups that turn audiences into collectors.
- Direct your account-handling team to create memorable buying experiences.
- Own your revenue targets, and the uncapped commission that comes with beating them.
What we are looking for
Essential
- Business development experience: you have found prospects, built relationships and closed.
- A track record of taking responsibility for sales or revenue targets and meeting them.
- Proven experience in e-commerce or social media marketing.
- A welcoming, confident, outgoing personality — artists have to want to work with you.
- A strong passion for art.
Welcome, not necessarily required
- Knowledge of the art industry and how artists make a living.
- An intuitive eye for whether an artwork has a wide potential market.
- An interest in behavioural science and audience psychology.
If you don't have every item on the first list but you burn to lead this change, apply anyway and make the case — we can teach a great deal; we can't teach drive.
What we offer
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission.
- Comprehensive ongoing training from our industry-leading social commerce team.
- Career growth in a company widely recognised as the leading innovator in its field.
- Fully remote, or hybrid at our Shoreditch studio.
- Flexible working hours. A significant proportion of our clients are US based.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any characteristic protected by law.
