How to create, share, and collaborate on creative projects.

Check out the tutorial â€˜Collaborate on projects’ on Creativehub, for an interactive walkthrough on projects!

Introduction

Projects are groups of files that you can create and share, with an array of powerful collaborative features that enable you to work with clients or creatives.

To learn how to create a project, check out the interactive tutorial on the Home page!

Projects you create are shown on the Projects list, highlighted below and projects that other people create, and share with you, are shown on the Incoming list.

Sharing

You can share projects to anyone, (even those without a Creativehub account) with a link or directly to email. All they’ll need to do is provide a name to view, download, and collaborate.

Customise the landing page for when sending projects or files to people, with your own branding. Click here to find out how.

Collaboration tools

Comment on projects – Discuss the project as a whole, or individual files, with . Read more about project commenting here.

Markup on images, PDFs and video – Enhance discussion by drawing onto images directly, and linking that drawing to a more specific comment. Make your point visual.

Track to-do items – Create and resolve to-do items, as a team. Quickly switch between chat and a shared task list, so everyone’s on the same page.

Open contribution – You can give anyone permissions to upload images to the project.

Compare image versions – If you upload images with V1, V2 etc. or a similar appendix to a filename, Creativehub will recognise this and allow you to compare the files side by side.

Add ratings to files – Anyone on the project can add star ratings to files. Then, sort by rating, or a specific person’s rating.

Managing large projects

To keep a project with a large number of files organised, you can use collections. Collections are loose groupings of files that already exist in your project. A file can be in multiple collections, but cannot be unique to the project itself.

Collections can be used for:

  • Creating alternative edits of images or files – experiment with new ideas and quickly compare with other versions
  • Group files as stages of a project – E.g. Brief, Reference Images, V1, V2, Final
  • Group files by the person who submitted them – For projects with many contributors

Files in a collection can be dragged and dropped into a custom order, which will also display for other people too.
